Sura # 62 | Madina -Al-Jumua | 11 verses | The congregation, Friday-verses -9

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلَاةِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا إِلَىٰ ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَذَرُوا الْبَيْعَ ۚ ذَٰلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

مومنو! جب جمعے کے دن نماز کے لئے اذان دی جائے تو خدا کی یاد (یعنی نماز) کے لئے جلدی کرو اور (خریدو) فروخت ترک کردو۔ اگر سمجھو تو یہ تمہارے حق میں بہتر ہے

O ye who believe! when the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): that is best for you if ye but knew!

O you who believe! when the call is made for prayer on Friday, then hasten to the remembrance of Allah and leave off trading; that is better for you, if you know.
