Innovation Is A Calumny against Allah and The Holy Apostle

The innovation of something new in religion is a malicious accusation of falsehood against Allah Most Glorious, for Allah Himself states: -
"This day I have perfected your religion for you and completed My favour unto you, and have chosen for you as a religion Al-Islam." (V: 3)

So if anyone originated an innovation, it as if, ‘Allah forbid!’ implies that there was still something lacking in religion. Similarly, it also amounts to - Allah forbid! – a false charge of misappropriation against the Holy Prophet that, it is as if, he did not convey to us some part of the religion, as Imam Malik observes that anyone who invented anything in Islam and considered this new thing better, he - Allah forbid! - accused Muhammad of misappropriation and suppression in conveying the divine commandments. The divine statement is: "This day I have perfected your religion for you." Hence the work which was not a part of religion in the Holy Prophet's time which he neither did himself nor persuaded others to do, cannot be included in religion today also.
